We're working on assembling a list of alumni age-outs from the beginning time of the corps through today. This will be an ongoing project with help from many former Scouts, Staff members, and volunteers.

Clarence H. Beebe

Most people would jump to the conclusion that C. H. Beebe is too old to be a Boy Scout.

And while it is true that Beebe is considerably older than the typical scout, there are thousands of Madisonians who'll argue with that conclusion.

Dear Scout:
We are entering our 15th year of Drum Corps activities and the corps has been a credit to our families, city, state, and country, and we hope to continue it with your cooperation; so a set of rules is submitted:

Newly Discovered Madison Scouts History Dates Back to 1920

The Four Lakes Council Boy Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, currently known as the Madison Scouts, has a well-documented history of continuous operations since February 3, 1938. However, recent research efforts of historical archives have uncovered evidence that the corps originated on December 3, 1920, under the direction of Lewis Kessler and maintained an active performance schedule through the end of 1925.

Preservation of our history project underway

A small group of alumni have begun a project to inventory and preserve the accumulated physical history of the Madison Scouts that is currently stored at the corps’ warehouse in Evansville, WI. Work on the preservation has been going on for the last year, but there is much yet to be accomplished.
